Dogdrawnit's first-ever pet portrait workshop took place at Imagination Station in Red Hook, & was a great success. Students ranged in age from 7 to 35! We studied composition & played with various papers & drawing techniques. As evidenced in the pictures below, these artists produced fabulous portraits! We plan on doing these workshops on a regular basis, & will announce dates here & on our facebook page. If you're interested, we hope you'll attend!

I'm in awe of this ten year old artist's talent! This beautiful portrait makes me want to go out & adopt a pet elephant!!

Students came prepared with excellent reference photos of their pets, one of them being a cute little hedgehog!

This Second grader was born to make pictures! Her cat is heavenly.

Students were very thoughtful about how they captured the spirit of their pets on paper.

I love all the emotion captured in this beautiful kitty's eyes. Great choice of colors as well!

Our first meeting of the PPAW (Pet Portrait Artists of the World) was a big success!

I love all the emotion captured in Matthew's amazing orangutan portrait, as well as some very impressive teeth!
